Garbage Bag Bet - OFFICIAL RULES
For 2009, there are two contestants. The rules can be adjusted accordingly for 2, 4 or 8 contestants. Contact Lenny or Randie for franchise information. Start a Garbage Bag Bet in your area!
THE BASICS
- Each contestant drafts last-place teams from the previous year's NFL season. 8 teams are divided by the number of contestants to yield each contestant's number of teams.
- The contestant with the most combined wins at season's end (hereby referred to as "the Overlord" is declared the winner.
- The following factors are used in the event of a tie, in this order: Points scored for (PF), Points scored against (PA), Total touchdowns (TDs).
THE STAKES
- The loser of the bet - the last-place finisher, in cases where there are more than two contestants - must wear a garbage bag underneath his clothes for an entire evening of bar-hopping in New York City on a date of the Overlord's choosing (hereby referred to as "the payoff").
- The ties from the bag must protrude from the collar, and the bag must be between skin and any clothing.
- The Overlord has the right to choose the bar schedule.
- The loser's drinks are chosen by the Overlord.
- The loser must pay for both his own drinks and those of the Overlord.
- The loser must grow a mustache for the payoff.
- The loser must create a diorama in honor of the Overlord.
WRITE-UPS
- The contestant with the most wins on any given week is awarded the week's write-up.
- In case of a tie, winning percentage is used to determine the write-up winner. If there is still a tie, the tie-breakers above are employed.
- The write-up must be submitted no later than Wednesday.
- Any missed or late write-up is punishable by penalty shot at payoff time, as well as public ridicule and humiliation.
- ALL CONTESTANTS MUST WEAR AN NFL JERSEY FOR THE PAYOFF.
- Draft order is determined as reverse order of finish from the previous year.
- The draft is conducted for the following season during the payoff.
